One of the best 80s movies, heart warming story with cheesy special effects.(junkyard scene). I have a problem with the time-line. If Bobby's Lenny's father and he died in the early 60s at the quarry then Lenny would be in his 20s in present day 1985. Anyone else have an issue with this? Over the edge song kicks the eye of the tigers ass!!!!

Hey, great movie! Theretroguy72, hope you are still doing well. 1972 is my class year also. Amazing how so much of thus movie, Is like many small communities back then! Our community town and county had a country road that they allowed 4 weekend 4hrs in the summertime for young people 16 to 21 to have a mile straight away to have drag racing. With strict requirements. No drink ,drugs, betting or undertaking "PINK SLIPS OF VEHICLES ". Really honestly. If anyone did, it got back to adult authorities. Those were then barred completely from events. They could even go watch any more. It was amazing times. Codes of honestly. Like. it takes a village to raise a child

Fun movie, but man, some of the acting here is terrible. Direction, too. Music, too! That horrible 1985-1986 synth soundtracks that they did, like on _Ladyhawk_ etc, awful. Fun movie, though.

When I saw this movie in 1985 I was 10 years old at my house. Remember how lenny told his mom I got it covered she turned around because that's what Bobby would say. When Lenny told his mom he had a friend name Bobby but didn't remember his last name. In the end when emily sees and talks to booby about Lenny and he's his son. Before Bobby left he tells emily don't worry about Lenny I'll take care of him. In the TV when I saw it they didn't put this line in the movie. Lenny tells Bobby thank you for saving me again. Bobby says I'm your guardian angel. Lenny tells Bobby my mom said thank your friend Bobby for me. Lenny's like did yall know each other

I thought the guy who plays Bobby was Walton Goggins...maybe he just looks similar?
